Most kitchens have plenty of overhead light. What they're missing is light right where you actually work - on the countertop, at the cutting board, right in front of you. That gap between overhead fixtures and your workspace is where shadows live, and it makes cooking and prep harder than it needs to be.
We installed 24V LED under-cabinet lighting throughout this kitchen to solve exactly that. The 24V system is worth calling out specifically - it runs cleaner and more consistently than the cheaper 12V strips you'll find at the hardware store. Less voltage drop across longer runs means the light at one end of the cabinet matches the light at the other end. No hot spots, no dim corners. Just even, clean light across the whole counter.
The kitchen itself was already coming together nicely - white quartz countertops with subtle veining, a bold stainless range with brass hardware, a matching wall-mount hood, and warm natural wood cabinet boxes. Nice materials deserve good light. The LEDs do exactly that - they make the counters pop and give the whole space a finished, intentional feel.
Under-cabinet lighting is one of those upgrades that sounds subtle but changes how a kitchen feels to use every single day. It's not just about looks. It's functional. Chopping vegetables, reading a recipe, cleaning up at night - all of it is easier when you have direct light on the surface in front of you. It's a straightforward install that delivers a lot of return.
If you've been sitting on the idea of adding under-cabinet lights - whether it's a new build, a remodel, or just an existing kitchen you want to upgrade - this is exactly the kind of work we do. Clean installs, quality materials, and results that actually make a difference in how you use your space.
